Private Small-Group Weaving Activity in Terceira Island

Learn to weave, an ancient Terceira craft, at my weaving cabin in a beautiful, natural environment with an ocean vista! Beginners & experienced weavers are welcome in a small, private group setting. Develop your creativity with a small weaving project of your choice. Relax with a cup of tea or coffee on the covered terrace. Weave in the clean island air during a delightful & unique island experience!

Itinerary

During this activity, you will experience handweaving, an ancient craft, in a beautiful, natural environment. You will learn a variety of techniques on a tapestry loom to weave a wall hanging art or a coaster size handwoven piece, using your choice of colors and materials.
Beginners & experienced weavers are welcome in a small, private group setting.
Weave in the clean island air during a delightful & unique island experience!
A variety of other looms, including rigid heddle, inkle and 4 shaft table looms can also be observed. I provide patient weaving instruction, and also simple printed instructions for you to keep, as I love to teach new students. If you are already a weaver or have more time and willing to weave a bigger piece like a scarf, table runner, placemat or cushion cover, please send a message.
