A unique village by the seaside, surrounded by high mountains and agricultural terraces and vineyards. It's dame is derived from the surrounding mountains that form an arc. From here you will visit the viewpoint of Cabanas that offers stunning views over the sea and Ponta Delgada

The origin of the parish name came from the fact that the original discoverer placed a steel cross at the port, to better identify the location to ocean travelers. Sitting right next to Penha de Águia a massive geological formation.

Porto da Cruz is covered by a vast and beautiful stretch of Laurissilva Forest.

This viewpoint, located between the city of Machico and the parish of Caniçal, offers amazing panoramic views over Ponta de São Lourenço and Machico.

Santa Cruz "Holy Cross" is a municipality in the eastern part of the island. Right next to the airport, it's promenade and sunny "esplanadas" provide a relaxing tune to the end of your tour.
