El Salvador: The Peace Route Tour

During the 80s El Salvador suffered a civil war and east provinces suffered more during those years, for many years Morazan was only visited by soldiers or guerrilla forces, many big battles took place in this area.

After the peace agreement almost all the original habitants returned to their lands and now many of them work on tourism and are happy to share their stories to visitors, and this is what makes this tour a unique experience.
This tour departs at 5am returns by 6pm, depending on traffic conditions

Museo de la Revolución Salvadoreña, also known as the Museum of the Revolution, commemorates the events, heroes, and victims of the Civil War from Perquín, a Salvadoran municipality in the country’s northeastern hills.

Stop At: El Mozote Monument, Perquin El Salvador

El Mozote is the site of the massacre ln December 11, 1981 of all the civilians who lived there
It was moving, commemorating an awful event - the slaughter of innocent men, women, and children by the then-government during the civil war 35 years ago.
