Astrophotography Tenerife

The activity is personal in small groups with each guest having access to either a motorised mount or a equatorial telescope. Each guest will get the opportunity to try both pieces of equipment. This is a great introduction to astrophotography and the opportunity to try expensive equipment before investing their money.
The dark skies of Tenerife are well known and at 7000ft above sea level we are often above the low level clouds. The lunar landscapr offers lots of opportunities for night time landscape photography called Nightscape and this combined with the unusual rock .

Itinerary

During the activity we will explain the principles behind astrophotgraphy show the guests how to set up telescopes and connect various types of cameras to the telescopes. We will show them how to polar align the equatorial telescopes and the skyadventurer motorised mounts we use. We will then explain the use of stacked images and the different settings on thier cameras to achieve the best results. The guest will have their own SD cards with their images taken on the night and Peter then will send them videos to show them post processing techniques and he is also available on line to help with any problems processing the photos.
