Find out about some of the oldest as well as the people and events associated with them. Inquests, riots, politics, plagues, religious influence, bizarre entertainments and strange auctions, York's pub history provides a strong picture of the social life of the city. All pubs seen are architecturally listed.
There is an optional refreshment stop, subject to suitable space being available). This adds 20-30 minutes to the tour time.
The guide is an experienced volunteer city guide.
