Old Wine Route Tour Experience at Baja California. ALL INCLUSIVE!

The Old Wine Route is located south of Ensenada approximately 25 miles (40 km). It is made up of the 3 oldest valleys in the region: La Grulla, Santo Tomas de Aquino and San Vicente Ferrer. On this route you will find the first wineries and oldest vineyards where wine was made for the first time in Baja California, resulting in wines of the highest quality.
About the tour
You will be picked up from your hotel or Airbnb in Ensenada, Valle de Guadalupe between 9:45 am and 10:00 am. During this 7-hour excursion you will be transferred to the Santo Tomas de Aquino Valley on the Old Wine Route.


Itinerary

Stop At: Bodegas de Santo Tomas, Avenida Miramar 666 btwn Calles 6 & 7, Ensenada, Ensenada Municipality 22800 Mexico

Our first stop (1 hour)will be at Bodegas de Santo Tomas, you will have the opportunity to taste the labels Mexican lines (included in the price) and learn more about the first wine producers in the region. Santo Tomas founded in 1888 is the Baja California’s oldest internationally known vineyard for its excellent wines. The area where they produce the wine is a round building in the middle of the vineyards, designed by Alejandro D'Acosta.

Stop At: Casa zamora, C. Independencia S/N, 22795 Ejido el Ajusco, B.C., Mexico

We will then visit the renowned Casa Zamora, winery of the first Mexican winemaker Laura Zamora with more than 45 years of experience making wines in Baja California and consulting other Mexican vineyard.

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Zarcillo Restaurante, C. Independencia s/n, 22795 Ejido el Ajusco, B.C., Mexico

There you will have the opportunity to do a tasting of 5 wines accompanied by appetizers (included in the price) from the Chef’s gourmet kitchen Pedro Gómez Zarcillo from Restaurant with a fusion cooking style, stands out among the restaurant.

You will be taken back to your hotel around 5:00 p.m. You will have bottled water and snacks during the tour.
