We meet at Hostel Upperlink for a short introduction of our food culture, followed by a taste of the best fries in town at Frituur Tartaar. Once our guide tells you the story of the fries, you'll never call them French fries again!

Stop At: OOOST, Goudenleeuwplein 3, 9000 Gent, Belgium

Next stop is Ooost, the regional center for local products, to tell you about the famous Ganda ham and give you a taste of delicious pie.

Stop At: Sophie’s sweets & chocolates, Jan Breydelstraat 1, 9000 Gent, Belgium

Next on the menu is a chocolate treat, handmade in Gent. Our guide will tell you the story of chocolate and offer you a praline in the shape of Jan van Eyck's holy lamb.

Stop At: The Waffle Factory, Kortemunt 7, 9000 Gent, Belgium

Next on the menu are waffles, a popular treat since medieval times. We'll tell you the origins of the food and offer you a taste.

At t his artisanal candy stand you get to taste a delicious local candy that we try to keep hidden from the rest of the world.

Stop At: Artevelde Brewery, Botermarkt 5, 9000 Gent, Belgium

We end the tour at a brewery to tell you the story of beer and offer you a ticket for a free beer at a second brewery in town.
