We've taken the same stops and sights we share with our friends and families when they come to town, and created an interactive web-based tour - read the stories behind the city, answer questions about what you've seen to reveal fun facts, and experience what makes Burlington one of our favorite cities in the Northeast!

Our tour starts on the waterfront of beautiful Lake Champlain where we will look far back in time to this area before Europeans and the cultures and people that called this place home.

In part because of the incredible natural surroundings, Vermonters have always been deeply passionate about the environment. From the forests of old, to the forests of new, we'll explore just how this place protects its land.

This is the last of what used to be a row of mansions built with the wealth of the industrial revolution. Follett was no exception - with a life story as intertwined in Vermont history as any.

This street is so named for a one of the powerhouses of Burlington - the University of Vermont! Its history is intertwined with this town and we'll explore that in more detail while learning about some of the more unique inventions from Burlington's history.

Urban renewal is a concept most urban dwellers engage with daily - Burlington pioneered it with their commons - a music-filled gathering point for residents and visitors alike. Learn how this city established a path others followed decades later to make the new American city.

We love a good show - as the largest theater between Albany and Boston, the Flynn has it all - musicals, rock bands, comedy tours. Some of those visitors have been quite famous and gotten up to some crazy antics while here, we'll tell you more when you get here..

Most people think its odd that we include a courthouse on a daytime tour - but we think a good ghost story can be scary during the day too - take a stop to learn about some secrets of old-time Burlington.

There is no better place to explore than the Church Street Marketplace - a multi-block pedestrian-only plaza that showcases the best New England, and local entrepreneurs, have to offer. We'll explain the history of this oldest part of Burlington and its conversion to what you see today.

Our last stop brings the history of Burlington back full circle, at one of the original buildings in town and the site of its greatest moments.
