Limón, commonly known as Puerto Limón, is a district, the capital city and main hub of Limón province, as well as of the Limón canton in Costa Rica. It is the seventh largest city in Costa Rica, with a population of over 55,000, and is home of the Afro-Costa Rican community. The pier is located right in front of the city and it is a small town that you can explore easily with a short walk. During our tour, our guide will provide a short city tour where you will be able to learn about its culture, traditions and principal attractions.

On the tour we will have the opportunity to visit the Cocoa Museum, which has been created by this family collecting artifacts, machinery and instruments that are used to make chocolate. In this museum, you will have the opportunity to make your own chocolate guided by indigenous women who will teach you the process with their traditional methods combining various natural ingredients such as vanilla, nutmeg, black pepper, hot chili, etc.
