Historic Acetaia - Guided Tour and Tasting

The tour is held in the medieval Prison Tower, located in the very heart of the picturesque ancient town of Castelvetro di Modena. It is a unique location since it is the only Balsamic aging tower open to public tours. The main square of Castelvetro di Modena, where the tower is situated, boasts a breathtaking view over the hillside of Modena. Our company is a small family-run production, and our vinegars are made according to the ancient tradition. We want to share our passion and respect towards the history with our guests. This tour is the best way to get acquainted with the story and the production method of the authentic Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, to taste the different agings of this unique product and to discover the best ways to use it at home.

The medieval Prison Tower hosts the most antique barrels of our production. It is the only balsamic aging tower open to public tours! The three floors of the tower enclose centuries of history and traditions. The real production site, not a museum!
