The Yungang represent the outstanding achievement of Buddhist cave art in China in the 5th and 6th centuries. Comprising 252 caves and niches and 51,000 statues within a carved area of 18,000 square meters.
The grottoes are divided into east, middle, and west parts. There are many amazing caves, it is not possible for you to explore all of them in a day trip. Don't miss these caves: Cave 7-13, 16- 20.
