2 Days Luxury Tour to Merzouga Desert from Fez with Small Group

Discover this amazing 2-day and 1-night Merzouga Desert tour, starting from your hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan or car with a small group. Our first stop will be in Ifrane, known as Little Switzerland. Afterward, we will head to Azrou, a Berber village in the cedar forest, where you can meet wild monkeys.

For lunch, we will try the best tajin in Ziz Valley and then we will continue to Erfoud to explore the fossils and oasis with palm trees.

In Merzouga, a 4x4 jeep will take us to the luxury camp. Explore the desert dunes and hop on a tour with camels to watch the sunset. In the evening, join the group for a delicious dinner, Berber music, and a wood fire. Have fun and enjoy a breathtaking view of the stars. Next day wake up early to enjoy the sunrise and excellent breakfast. We will start packing for a way back to Fes and stop at Merzouga, Rissani Midelt. Have a great tour.

Itinerary

Day 1: Fes - Ifrane - Azrou -Medilt - Ziz Valley - Merzouga

Stop At: Fes, Fes, Fes-Meknes
Meet your driver at your hotel and leave for Merzouga crossing the Middle Atlas and its cedar forests.
This mountain range stretches 350 kilometers from the southwest to the northeast of Morocco.
Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Ifrane, Ifrane, Fes-Meknes
Ifrane is a city and urban commune in Morocco located in the Middle Atlas, at an altitude of 1,650 meters.
Ifrane is nicknamed Little Switzerland because of its architecture, its climate, its landscapes, and the most exclusive ski destination in the country.
Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Cedre Gouraud Forest, Azrou Morocco
Famous cedar grove, barbary macaques, and wonderful butterflies, the surroundings make a favorite summer attraction for city dwellers, hikers, and picnickers from large neighboring towns.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Midelt, Midelt, Meknes-Tafilalet Region
Stop for a lunch in berber restaurant and some great pictures of berber village.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Ziz valley, N13, Morocco
The Ziz Valley is home to hundreds of kasbahs and ksar which is interesting to explore. Also, enjoy a panoramic view over Ziz River.
Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Erfoud, Erfoud, Meknes-Tafilalet Region
Erfoud is an oasis town in the Sahara Desert, in the Drâa-Tafilalet region, eastern Morocco. It belongs to ait atta tribe.
Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Merzouga, Merzouga, Draa-Tafilalet
Enjoy your ride with a 4x4 to the desert camp. Leave your luggage and go for a camel ride in the desert dunes and enjoy a beautiful sunset.
Duration: 6 hours

Day 2: Merzouga - Rissani - Midelt - Fes

Stop At: Merzouga, Merzouga, Draa-Tafilalet
Today we will wake up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise before returning by camel to the village of Merzouga. After breakfast, we head towards the Middle Atlas Mountains passing through Erfoud and Errachidia, towards the town of Midelt.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Rissani, Rissani, Meknes-Tafilalet Region
Visit Berber market. Rissani is a town in Errachidia Province in eastern Morocco, located near Erfoud. It is the closest town of significant size to the Erg Chebbi, the largest sand desert in Morocco.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Midelt, Midelt, Meknes-Tafilalet Region
Stop for a lunch in berber restaurant. We continue towards Fez and this will be the end of our private overnight tour. We wish you a safe return to Fes.
Duration: 5 hours
