Guided tour of the city with its archaeological area which preserves the monumental remains of the Latin colony of Venusia. The majestic backdrop of the itinerary is the Abbey of the Holy Trinity, fully restored making the different construction phases legible. To better understand the history of the place, visit the Archaeological Museum (ticket on site), housed in the basement walkways of the Aragonese castle.

The city of Melfi is a container of important cultural treasures, such as the Cathedral dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta and the Castle of Frederick II, as well as the Melfese National Archaeological Museum. The Museum, located inside the Frederick's castle, presents the important archaeological documentation found in the Vulture-Melfese area and divided into the Archaic, Classical and Roman periods

Lagopesole is known for its Swabian past, linked to the figures of Frederick II and his son Manfredi and for the events linked to the chief brigant Carmine Crocco. Its majestic castle remains the most important testimony of the surrounding area
