At Shikisai no Oka the eye-catching Patchwork Road is made of various colorful flowers blooming all through May to October. The best time to view flower blossom is between late July and September, the landscape on the hillside is overwhelmingly beautiful! Also alpaca is firstly bred here at Shikisai no Oka in Hokkaido and is greatly liked by visitors.

This is a romantic shopping area in the forest with 15 log cabins. We have a wide selection of ``Furano-esque products'' with a nature theme, and the atmosphere of a hidden village and the warmth of wood create a stylish space.

In recent years, the Blue Pond has become a super popular site in the Biei area. The dead Japanese larch trees that stand amidst the milky blue water of the pond create a mysterious atmosphere.
