Itinerary

Stop At: Colmar, Colmar, Haut-Rhin, Grand Est

Departure at 9:30 AM from Strasbourg to Colmar. Colmar is the capital of the wine route. A must, stop and admire the beauty of this city nicknamed "Little Venice" due to the alignment of the houses on both sides of the river. Nestled in the heart of the Alsatian vineyards and at the gates of Germany and Switzerland, Colmar offers tasty gastronomy, a typically Alsatian atmosphere, renowned wines and of course a unique architecture dating mainly from the Middle Ages to the 18th century.

Stop At: Eguisheim, Eguisheim, Haut-Rhin, Grand Est

After that, another essential stage of the wine route: Eguisheim, classified among the most beautiful villages in France since 2003. This medieval city has the particularity of being deployed in concentric circles and you can admire its magnificent colorful half-timbered houses and its fountains.

Stop At: Kaysersberg, Kaysersberg, Kaysersberg-Vignoble, Haut-Rhin, Grand Est

Then we will go to Kaysersberg. An old medieval city with its cobbled streets and half-timbered houses, Kaysersberg was elected favorite village of the French in 2017. It is also here that the first vines were imported from Hungary in the 16th century and wine, as in all villages located along the wine route, represents the biggest economic aspect of the village.

Stop At: Riquewihr, Riquewihr, Haut-Rhin, Grand Est

At last, an essential stop on the wine route, Riquewihr : It's one of the most beautiful villages in Alsace, surrounded by ramparts. The village has preserved all of its architecture since the 13th century, miraculously passing through all the wars. You can admire all the possible variations of half-timbered houses, oriel windows, fountains and old wells. Nicknamed "Pearl of the Alsatian vineyard", the village is surrounded by vineyards and the quality of this vineyard is world renowned.
