My wife and I took a two hour tour with Dan on a hot Thursday afternoon. Starting in front of the old city hall, we went through the old city, choosing shaded sides of the street and ducking into attractions that were air conditioned (The Old Port Theater, St. Michael's Church etc). There is so much to see that every guide must have to edit what you can see in two hours. Being on foot gives you a great feel for Charleston and its magnificent old homes, cultural treasures, and breezy harbor vistas. Dan was pleasant, well informed, and open to any questions our 14 person party could pose. I'd recommend the tour highly - especially as temperatures cool down.

A comprehensive walking tour of the historic district. As a native of Charleston, Evans Byrd was extremely knowledgeable about cultural and historical aspects of the city, including many lesser known facts, like the story of Robert Smalls. This was an excellent tour.

Our tour was excellent! The tour guide, Evans, fed us interesting and detailed Charleston history and architecture information. The pace was easy, and there was time to take photos and ask a lot of questions. Evans also knew flowers and trees, especially camellias which were in stunning, showy bloom. Would definitely recommend.

He clearly catered the tour to the audience and extended it well beyond the expected two hours to the disappointment of no one. The tour was well-paced and informative.
