Winchester Day Tour by First Class Train

Winchester Day Tour by First Class Train

A beautiful day out by First Class train to Winchester, 60 miles SW of London. Winchester was the famed capital of England in the time of legendary Kind Alfred The Great .

We will see spots relating to Jane Austen, the beautiful Cathedral and old town, Great Hall and watermill as well the round table of King Arthur and his knights.

Winchester is such beautiful old city, rarely visited by foreign travellers despite there being nowhere more quintessentially English with old fashioned teashops, sweets and perhaps the oldest pub in the kingdom.

Winchester is said by many to be the possible site of Camelot, what more magical way to spend a day than here. I can't think of a nicer day out of London than Winchester and with a private tour, you can see as much or as little as you like.
