Wine tour at the footsteps of Hercules in Nemea from Nafplio
On this daily trip of wine, we visit the endless vineyards of Nemea and we experience a unique combination of traditional Greek wine with a little history of Ancient Greece. Nemea, located in Peloponnese, is the place where Hercules killed the lion and performed the first of his 12 labors. Also here were taking place the Nemea Games which glory was antagonizing the glory of the Olympic Games.
Apart from its history, the wine-growing zone of Nemea is also a blessed wine region of 19, 000 acres. During our tour we visit two wineries of the region, we taste unique varieties of wines, accompanied by Greek dishes and we discuss the details of wine-making.

Our first stop is the Archeological site of Nemea where we admire the sanctuary that was set up for Zeus, the father of Hercules, and The Stadium of Nemea.

We visit two wineries of the region, we meet their producers and we are briefed about the production conditions and the harvest procedures. The owners reveal the secrets of wine and offer to us the special varieties of the area, like Moschofilero, Roditis (white variety) and Agiorgitiko (red variety) accompanied by the appropriate dishes.
