After your drive from Munich to Salzburg your Salzburg city sightseeing starts with a visit of Hellbrunn palace, which is an old archbishop palace from the early 17th century. The gazebo what they used in the famous movie The Sound of Music you will see there as well.

Stop At: Schloss Leopoldskron, Leopoldskronstrasse 56-58, Salzburg 5020 Austria

Our next stop is Leopoldskron palace which is surrounded by an artificial lake. In 1964, when the film Sound of Music was filmed in Salzburg, 10 outdoor scenes were filmed here portraying the von Trapp Family home.

Continue with one of the highlights on this tour a drive through the old town of Salzburg, passing Mozart’s residence, Mozart’s birth place, the Salzburg Cathedral, the festival houses, St. Peter’s Church, Franciscan Church.
