Stop At: Cawdor Castle, Nairn IV12 5RD Scotland

With an early start from Aberdeen our first stop will be at Cawdor Castle. The castle dates from the late 14th century, built as a private fortress by the Thanes of Cawdor. An ancient medieval tower built around the legendary holly tree. We believe Cawdor Castle is a truly extraordinary place. Whether you are exploring one of the three gardens or visiting the castle itself this stop will fill you with happy memories.

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Culloden Moor, Culloden Moor, Scottish Highlands, Scotland

Marking the spot of the last major battle on British soil, the wild moor at Culloden is the resting place of 1,500 Jacobite and 50 Government soldiers who fought and died here in 1746.

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Dores, Dores, Loch Ness Region, Scottish Highlands, Scotland

Time for lunch and we highly recommend visiting the Dores Inn on the shores of Loch Ness. On a cold day you can relax by the cosy log fire and enjoy lunch from a varied menu of home cooked food. On a nice day, you can eat out on the sun terrace or enjoy a drink or two from the ‘The OutDores Inn’ bar soaking up the rays in the large beer garden.

We are now ready to explore the city of Inverness. You'll have a bit of free time to wander through the city and explore the shops, the best used book store and walk along the river taking in the views of Inverness Castle. Inverness is the Gateway to the Highlands.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Tomintoul, Tomintoul, Moray, Scotland

Nestled at a height of 1164 ft on the northern slopes of the Cairngorm Mountains, Tomintoul is the highest village in the Highlands. We will stretch our legs before heading back to Aberdeen.

Duration: 15 minutes
