On the way to the Tenryo Sake Brewery, your guide will share not only the introduction of sake but the historical background of town. Inside the brewery, you will understand the brewing process of sake step by step with seeing the actual facilities and machines for production. The Hida region is well known as one of the best places to make sake in Japan since we have all 3 key factors for brewing: water, rice and coldness. Tenryo Sake Brewery started in Edo period (17C) and now it is representative of sake breweries in this region. They have won lots of awards not only in Japan, but in overseas and it is served in some high-class Japanese-style restaurants. At the brewery, you will see the inside to know more about ingredients of sake and the brewing process step by step. After the special experience, you will enjoy Tenryo’s sake. Depending on the season, they will offer you their best sake and you can find your favorite one. You can also understand the difference of flavors and how to drink sake.
