Private 6-Night Tibet Yamdrok Lake Camping Tour

Visit all the main sights of the Tibetan capital of Lhasa, including Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street and Sera Monastery, plus experience the Tibetan countryside on this private 6-night tour. With a private guide and driver, you'll explore World Heritage–listed religious landmarks, spend one night camping at Yamdrok Lake, see a renowned convent, and visit Shigatse to tour Pelkhor Chode Monastery, Gyantse Kumbum and Tashi Lhunpo Monastery. Your guide shares insights into Tibetan culture and history throughout your tour, which includes accommodation, private vehicle, entrance fees and Tibet travel permits.

Your privately guided Tibetan adventure starts in the capital city of Lhasa, stops for a night in a small village on Yamdrok Lake, continues to Gyantse and Shigatse, and then returns to Lhasa.

The first few days are spent in Lhasa so you can become acclimated to the high altitude and see the city’s many monuments. Take it all in during sightseeing activities with your guide, as well as free time in the old city on your own. Then depart the city by private vehicle, marveling at the rural scenery with picturesque temples, monasteries, sacred lakes, small villages and snow-covered mountains.

Accommodation includes 4-star hotels in Lhasa and Shigatse, plus one night of tent camping next to Yamdrok Lake. Breakfast is included every day, as well as lunch and dinner on Day 4. All other meals are on your own, giving you the flexibility to choose where to eat; your guide can suggest options throughout your trip.
