After a short break, you will cross the Murgia territories to reach Matera, an important UNESCO site and European Capital of Culture 2019. Here, you will meet the ladies who live in the typical "bassi" of the center and who prepare fresh handmade pasta - "orecchiette” -on the doorstep of their homes. You will taste the sgagliozze (squares of fried polenta) and the typical Barese focaccia with tomatoes.
