Hebron Dual Narrative Tour from Jerusalem

Hebron Dual Narrative Tour from Jerusalem

This unique dual-narrative tour takes you to the heart of one of the most complex cities in the world for an in-depth look at the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. From Jerusalem, head to the holy city of Hebron in the West Bank for a tour of both the Israeli and Palestinian sectors, known as H1 and H2, first with an Israeli Jewish guide and then with a Palestinian guide. Hear both sides of the struggle for a balanced insight into life in this volatile Middle Eastern city. Visit the Tomb of the Patriarchs, explore Jewish neighborhoods, and enjoy an (optional) home-cooked lunch at a local Palestinian family’s home.

Stop At: Ibrahimi Mosque, G4F6+V7Q, Hebron

You’ll visit the divided Tomb of the Patriarchs, home to the symbolic tombs of Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Rebecca, Jacob and Leah – even Adam and Eve –, all said to be buried in the cave beneath, before touring the Jewish ‘settler’ neighborhoods of the city, visiting the Avraham Avinu Quarter and restored synagogue, the Beit Hadassah museum about Jewish life in Hebron before the riots of 1929, and the ‘Shavei Hevron Yeshiva’ in Beit Romano.

Stop At: Tel Rumeida

We’ll also visit the hilltop Tel Rumeida, site of a Bronze Age archaeological site, army base, and the tomb of Ruth and Jesse from the Bible.

Stop At: Hebron, Hebron, West Bank

Visit this special city, one of the four holy cities in Judaism and a sacred place in Islam. Our Hebron tour splits the day in two – you’ll spend the morning with Jewish ‘settlers’ in the city, and the afternoon in the Palestinian part of the city. By hearing from both sides, this tour will give you a balanced insight on life in Hebron, the city of Abraham, and the site of the burial place of the Biblical Patriarchs and Matriarchs.

Stop At: West Bank, West Bank

Leaving Jerusalem, we’ll head south into the hills of Judea, arriving in ‘H2′, the Israeli controlled area of Hebron, the largest city in the West Bank.
