Enjoy homemade Dutch apple pie in one of Amsterdam’s most well-known Dutch ‘brown’ pubs, sample exclusive Dutch cheeses in the private tasting room of a cheese store that ripens its own cheese and supplies many Michelin restaurants, and savor a mini version of the ‘Rijsttafel’ from the former Dutch colony of Indonesia. And that’s just to name a few examples!

Learn about the origins of Dutch food and how it has shaped our history, whilst getting familiar with the Amsterdam’s past and present, architecture, and culture on the leisurely guided walks in between stops.

Sample some popular Dutch sausages in a butcher shop that has been run for over 130 years by the Louman family.

Enjoy some highlights of the Indonesian and Surinamese cuisine with our own off the menu mini version of a 'rijsttafel' ('ricetable') that has been exclusively designed for us by our partner Boca's. Being two former Dutch colonies these countries play a huge role in the Dutch history, culture and gastronomy.

We can't let you go home without trying the ultimate Dutch cookie 'stroopwafel'. For this we will visit the cozy confectionary and chocolate shop 'T Goede Soet and next to this we will treat you to another Dutch classic: 'boterkoek' ('butter cake')

• Homemade Dutch apple pie - The famous and truly homemade Dutch apple pie from Cafe Papeneiland served with whipped cream and a drink
• Dutch sausages: 'Ossenworst' and 'Grillworst' - Two of the most famous Dutch sausages served at the best butcher shop of Amsterdam
• 'Mini' Rijsttafel (rice table) - Dish from the former Dutch colony Indonesia. Rendang, Sate Ajam, 3 x pickles , Kroepoek , 3x Sambal, Bread. Served with a drink.
• Stroopwafel and boterkoek - Visit confectionary shop 't Goede Soet' for the ultimate Dutch cookie stroopwafel and try her 'boterkoek' made of sugar, eggs and lots of butter.
• Dutch cheese tasting with local beer and wine - Hard cheeses: Farmhouse Gouda and Remeker Rijp. Soft cheeses: Blauw Juweel (blue flora) and Avondrood (red flora), choice of Dutch tripel beer or wine
• Haring and Kibeling - The famous Dutch herring and the most popular Dutch fried fish : kibbeling
• Bitterballen - The classic fried pub snack made by one of the best brands in Amsterdam. Served with a beer, wine or non-alcoholic drink.
