My family was visiting my niece who is newly relocated from New Jersey to Portland. Food tours are something we enjoy very much. It’s a great way to learn about a new city and it’s rich foodie history. Portland and this tour did not disappoint! Our tour guide Anna was extremely knowledgeable about food, restaurants, establishments, chefs and the rich history of Portland. We started at Nel Centro and the beet salad was fabulous, not to mention the Prosecco. She even made sure that our 16 yr old had a fun mock tail so she could join in on the toast. Our next stop was the Melty and meaty food truck in Pioneer Square, which Anna knew all the history of. The sandwich was the highlight of the tour for us, it was ooey gooey goodness. The ham was Smokey and sweet and the mustard was so flavorful. We then went to Grassa for homemade pasta which did not disappoint. Next came dessert. We went to an incredible chocolate shop called Cacao and learned all about the differences in chocolate. We sampled chocolate and drank European hot chocolate which is super rich and creamy. We ended at Ruby Jewel for ice cream sandwiches, which were awesome! Great flavors and such creamy goodness. The tour was fabulous, we learned a lot and would recommend this tour to all. We left full and satisfied and with great recommendations for future dining. Anna knows her stuff!

I took this tour on my first trip to Portland. It was very organized and I enjoyed each stop and thought the amount of time was perfect at each location. We also learned a lot of interesting facts about the city. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the different places we went to as well as history of Portland. The food was amazing! Highly recommend. Do NOT eat before you go as you get a lot of food!

This was a wonderful food tour in downtown Portland. Our guide Heidi was extremely knowledgeable and had a great, positive energy. The selection of shows was wide ranging so we got a sample of many different foods. Extra bonus was the wine, beer and special water with the tastings. All of the tastings were large and delicious. Would recommend this tour to anyone!

Starting at the Farmers market (it was a Saturday) our group of 8 walked through maybe 2.5 miles of downtown Portland with excellent commentary on the major sights and quirks of this city. Great advice on some top booths at the market, excellent lunch at Southwark Seafood (so good we went back for dinner), then a 1/2 sandwich from a food wagon in Courthouse square, on to a chocolate expresso and a fabulous ice cream place - all while leaning about city highlights from a very vivacious guide.

We had the best time on our foodie tour with Auriel. 6 stops - 6 taste adventures! Each interesting and worthy in their own right. Plus the bit of history and cultural insight fleshed out our understanding of Portland. This is a vibrant city with communities working together for a greater good.

I had such a lovely time with our guide, Heidi, on the Downtown Portland Food Tour. We got to sample some of the best food I've EVER had, and experience Portland like a local! The tour is set up in a way that someone who has never been to Portland or someone who lives in Portland would enjoy this tour. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone. This would be a great activity to do with friends or family, or even alone since our group was really fun. Side note: be prepared to EAT! I left this tour stuffed :)
