Bicycle ride was the perfect length and group size of 12 was manageable. Our guide tried very hard to be patient with our bicycle skills traveling with my 3 boys ages 7, 9 and 15 as my younger children were initially nervous bicycling in a city and were so careful we slowed the whole group down. Oslo, by the way, is a very safe city to bicycle - very polite drivers who yield for pedestrians and cyclists. This is a great way to see the city as it gives a terrific overview and feeling for the city. Stops included Vigeland sculpture garden and the Royal palace as well as the Promenade and Fortress among others. Huge thumbs up from my kids who certainly preferred this over a walking tour!

My 5 star rating partially based upon the price paid:
      5 Exceeded expectations
      4 Met expectations
3 Did not meet expectations but still would have engaged with the vendor
2 Would not have engaged with the vendor but wouldnt dissuade others from doing so
1 Would not have engaged with the vendor and would not recommend others doing so either

      PROS
Josh I believe that was name, young man from Florida was a hoot - definitely know his story of Oslo and told it with humor
Small group so it was very conversational
Not a bad ride - with a little exertion but OK for novice bike riders
Got to see some of Oslo that we would not have otherwise probably seen

      CONS
      None

Great way to see all of Oslo in a limited time. Fortunate to have weather without rain for the 2-5pm bike ride. Guide quite knowledgeable although could have been better. Having said that I would definitely do it again. Beware amateur cyclists and the not so fit that Oslo is not completely flat. Some parts are hilly so requires a certain level of fitness and ability to change gears. Also, other cyclists don't give way so you just have to watch out for each other whilst trraversing the city on tramlines, cobblestones busy streets, etc. Glad I partook in this tour.

Good bike tour. Guide was from Florida, but can't remember his name. So english was good. I'd say the tour was very informative about Oslo and Norway in general. Lots of information I had not ever known. The sites were good and got to bike a lot of Oslo. Guide also had some nice local tips/insights on the landmarks we were able to visit. I wish it included the Opera House..but overall, it was still very much a good value and I would recommend.

Enjoyed this tour. Have to say initially it was disappointing to find that it wasn't a native doing this tour but our guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. Unfortunately his name escapes me, young American guide and he was enthusiastic and fun. Would recommend this tour.

This is without doubt the best way to see the sights of Oslo or any other city in fact. Our guide Patrick from Viking Biking was great and even in the pouring rain we had a truly memorable day.

We had not been on a cycle for 40 years so were a little apprehensive. Didn't need to worry, the guys in charge of the trip were excellent. Found us suitable bikes. Would suggest if you havn't been on a bike for a while you arrive 15 early so you can practise before the off. We saw places close up that we would not have seen. Thought it was an excellect tour. Really worth the price.

Our family of 4 mom, dad, 2 daughters 16 and 20 thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon of biking with our funny, nice guide,he's originally from Florida! We went on the first day, of a 2 week stay in Oslo, hoping to get a good feel for the neighborhoods, recommendations for dining and places to visit, and the ones to skip. We got all that and so much more!!. It really was fun and interesting. My 16 year old learned a lot of history without any pain Gave more value to the rest of the trip. My older one learned about the wonderful basically free masters degree programs at the University. We may be going back for that! Well spent afternoon. Wear one of the bike helmets with the viking horns- they make fabulous pictures!

Everyone at the shop was super nice and helpful getting us organized with bikes and helmets. Nick was clearly passionate about Norway, being Norwegian, sharing his wealth of historical and cultural knowledge, and sharing lots of locals-only information. He also kept us informed where we would be headed after each stop and what we would be learning about next. My only suggestion would be to perhaps avoid the Astrup Museum area on busy days. Navigating the hordes of tourists was like a stressful game of frogger!

We experienced increasing drenching rain - but we powered through it Norwegian style. There is no such thing as poor weather, just poorly dressed people. Olaf the First 1682.
