Chapada Dos Veadeiros Classic Package - 4 Days

This time we'll have a wonderful experience during serveral days to get to know the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park completely, visiting the remarkable Vale da Lua and Sao Miguel River, famous because of its rocks, such as Gorges' Rock. We'll discover the Almécegas Waterfalls, and get in touch with nature and gorgeous landscapes located in Sao Bento Waterfall. Do not miss out! Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive, Vale da Lua

Stop At: Vale da Lua, GO-239 (Alto Paraiso-Sao Jorge) Km 35, Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park, Alto Paraiso de Goias, State of Goias 73770-000 Brazil
Vale da Lua, an extraordinary tour through the rocky valley shaped by São Miguel’s river
Duration: 1 hour

Meals included:

Accommodation included: Overnight at Pousada Cristal da Terra or similar.


Day 2: Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park - Cariocas Falls.

Stop At: Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park, Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park, State of Goias
Hiking Day of 6 miles (10km) in the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park, visiting the spectacular and old rock gorges, Canion I & II, and the stunning Cariocas waterfalls on the Rio Preto river.
We will stop for a picnic lunch and during the walk we will pass through a range of high-altitude cerrado landscapes with its distinct flora and fauna. Late Lunch in São Jorge

Day 3: Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park

Stop At: Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park, Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park, State of Goias
Hike Day of 5 miles (8km) in the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park. The circuit follows an old miners’ trail passing by the quartz crystal mines that gave rise to the settlement of São Jorge.

Along the way you will see a wide range of vegetation typical of the high altitude Cerrado. We will stop for a swim and hydro-massage beneath the Pedreiras waterfall, one of the main attractions of the National Park, set in the rocky valley through which Rio Preto tumbles in a series of cascades and natural pools.

After a picnic you will return along a small path shimmering with fragments of quartz crystal.
- Visit to the relaxing hot springs at nearby Água Quente.
- Late Lunch in São Jorge

Day 4: Almécegas waterfall and return

Stop At: Almecegas I Waterfalls, GO-239 (Alto Paraiso-Sao Jorge) Km 10 Fazenda Sao Bento, Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park, Alto Paraiso de Goias, State of Goias 73770-000 Brazil
Transfer to visit to the São Bento farm, walking about 1.5 miles (2.5. km) to the lovely Almecegas 1 waterfall with its 150 ft (50 m) drop and then on to the smaller Almécegas 2 waterfall for a refreshing dip in the large natural swimming pool. - Lunch in Alto Paraíso.
- Transfer to Brasília
