Tayrona National Park - Trek to Pueblito & Cabo San Juan

Stop At: Parque Nacional Natural Tayrona, Tayrona National Park, Santa Marta Municipality 470007 Colombia

Our hike begins in Calabazo, 30 minutes from Santa Marta and after breakfast we will be sheltered by the shadow of enormous old trees and beautified by the singing birds while we move closer to Pueblito Taiku and the ruins of a complex civilization.

Stop At: Tayrona National Park, Tayrona National Park, Santa Marta Municipality, Magdalena Department

After a 3 hour hike, we will arrive at Pueblito and will have the time to wander among the housing and terraces of the old Tayrona people. Furthermore, you'll find Kogui families living in the place and farming ancestral sacred plants and their legumes. Noticing the indigenous architecture you'll discover how complex and fitted it was with this ecosystem and how advanced were these populations on hydric resource handling.

Stop At: Cabo San Juan Del Guia, Tayrona National Park, Santa Marta Municipality Colombia

We will continue with the hike going downhill and making our way out of the jungle to Cabo San Juan. There you can stay to enjoy the beach and an amazing view of the mountains and the sea. This majestic place will surely charm you with its unique beauty. During your stay, you can enjoy a delicious typical dish for lunch before walking for less than an hour to the meeting place to return to Santa Marta.
