Tour to the Sun and Moon Temples and Huacas de Moche Museum

Excursion to the south of Trujillo to visit a religious center of the
Mochica culture, built in the fifth century. Admire the temples of the Sun
and the Moon that constituted the center of the ancient Moche culture,
which developed between 100 AD and 900 AD. Both huacas are separated by 500meters, where the urban center that housed the Moche elite is still
preserved underground. The archeological complex includes two large
pyramids, the Huaca Las Estrellas, Huaca del Cerro Blanco, the Spider
geoglyph and other buildings. Also visit the workshop of a traditional
artisans Moche family and the Huacas de Moche Museum, which complements the visit of the huacas with its representation of aspects of life, city and environment of the Moche culture.Its collection of ceramics of great beauty and symbolism clearly stand out.

You will meet a Moche artisan family, whose work maintains the traditions inherited from their ancestors

Stop At: La Huaca del Sol, Valle de Moche, Moche 13600, Peru

Have a panoramic view of The Huaca del Sol and take the opportunity to take photos.
The Huaca del Sol was a political place. Among them, a series of streets, passages and houses are proof that middle and upper-class people inhabited the area.

Stop At: Museo Huacas de Moche, Valle de Moche, Trujillo Peru

A guide will tour the museum with you and explain various aspects of Moche culture. In this museum artifacts, tombs, utensils and ceramics of the culture are exhibited.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: La Huaca de la Luna, V285+3W2, Carr. Campiña de Moche, Moche 13600, Peru

You will explore the Huaca de la Luna, the one that most impresses with its conservation and study level. Its incredible murals that remain until today show the different Moche deities and other scenes of religious connotation.
