These stone are though to the the oldest in the British Isles. These enormous stones are all that is left of an ancient ceremonial site.

A massive stone circle, originally consisting of 60 stones – 36 survive today. At least 13 prehistoric burial mounds. A large rock-cut ditch surrounding the stone circle

Back onto the ferry for the crossing to the mainland.

The home of the Dukes of Sutherland. Explore the castle and gardens. If we are lucky there may be a Falconry display to admire.
