Puerto Madryn: Visit to the Chubut River Valley
The tour begins early in the morning with destination to the Chubut River Valley.
The first stops on the tour is the towns of Gaiman, 15 km from Trelew, and Dolavon, 25 km from Trelew. Both located on the north bank of the Chubut River. These cities retain traces of Welsh colonization in the region. The old and traditional architecture, the Welsh tea experience (optional, not included) with its incredible variety of cakes, and the unique beauty of the valley.

We set out early in the morning for Gaiman, a village situated 15km west on the Chubut River northern bank. This small town is a very attractive place where the Welsh traditions can still be found at its best. Its buildings (very well preserved since the times settlers disembarked and settled down in the valley), its typical Welsh tea and cake, all in the beautiful setting featured by the valley. After this visit, we complete our itinerary travelling west to Dolavon village, this time along the road that goes around the farmland, where numerous farms devoted to agro-tourism, offer varied and fine craftsmanship. We return to Puerto Madryn in the evening.

Gaiman is a town in the Chubut Province of Patagonia in Argentina. It has a population of 4,730 as per the 2010 census [INDEC]. It is located in the River Chubut's lower valley (called Dyffryn Camwy in Welsh), about 15 km west of Trelew. Gaiman is a cultural and demographic centre of the main region of the Welsh settlement in Argentina, known in Welsh as Y Wladfa Gymreig.
