Dive into the riot of colours at Khari Baoli, Asia’s largest spice market in old Delhi. This towering Afghan-style victory minaret is unmissable. Sultan Qutb-ud-din proclaimed his supremacy over the defeated rulers of Qila Rai Pithora by erecting this 73m high structure. The tower has five storeys and projecting balconies. The intricate bands made of sandstone encircling the tower bear verses from the holy book of Quran.
