My first time in Panama and was looking forward to enjoy the islands of San Blas . Elvis was our driver and he was great picking us up at the hotel and dropping us off. The tour starts early morning of 5 AM and picks up other tourists with a max of 6 inside the SUV. It takes over 2 hours to get to the dock with a break in between to a supermarket to buy food or other necessities. The road to San Blas is narrow , zigzagging thru the lush mountains with scattered potholes and Elvis will try to avoid it. So motion sickness is common . There’s a checkpoint as u approach San Blas to check passports. Once in the dock , they will let you sign in their logbook and head to the boats. Expect to be a little bit wet from the waves so wear something appropriate, don’t blame em for getting drenched . The islands are spectacular , enjoy every moment of it. I had a good time at the natural pool snorkeling with scattered starfish everywhere .The people are friendly and accommodating even if there’s a language barrier. Elvis is awesome !

Amazing tour! San Blas is a must-see! This tour was the perfect length. You wake up early and pick-up is from your hotel. You take a 2 hour drive very curvy/windy road to the beach. Once you arrive at the beach-area, you get on a ferry for another 30 minutes or so. The ride on the ferry is very quick and the views are incredible. You stay on the first island for a couple of hours. The islands are very secluded and during the off-season, the islands are basically private. Our second stop was a starfish sandbar. The guides collected starfish and brought them closer to the boat so that they were easily visible for everyone. You had the opportunity to go snorkling and look for more starfish as well. The last island is where we got lunch. Lunch was a delicious, typical, Panamanian meal consisting of rice, beans, salad, and fried fish. Every place we went was incredible and exceeded expectations. The guides/drivers were very pleasant and helpful every step of the way! I highly recommend 10/10!

This tour was excellent, we were treated very very well. I think it's an absolute must. There was amazing scenery during the drive. Then the cute boats that took us out to these gorgeous islands. I'm still in awe that my personal photos look like a brochure, not photoshopped!! Brilliant experience.

Great tour! San Blas islands are beautiful and worth visiting. The tour is for a long day but everything went as planned. Very organized and punctual. They sell cold beer on the islands and food was very good. Panamanians were wonderful people.

Very good experience! the islands were so beautiful. the lunch provided on the island was delicious. It was a pretty cloudy day but it was still beautiful and even a little rain wasn't bad. transportation from Panama City was on time and pleasant. The ride is long and a little rough but totally worth it. I went to Panama City from Washington DC alone and was a little nervous but everything was beautiful and the guide and driver were very pleasant. San Blas is a must see

3 islands, 1 natural pool, 1 very very full day. overall, I highly recommend this! Just know that the boat ride there will be about an hour of EXTREMELY bumpy waves ... but it's actually a lot of fun and pretty thrilling!

There is not much more beautiful than a perfect sunny day on white sand next to very blue warm ocean water and palm trees all around to offer the perfect amount of shade and rustling of palm leaves in the air. This tour offered that but it was a looooong day and you are better off going the route of doing an overnight or two one any of the available secluded islands (especially if you are the campy/outdoors type). The day: up at 430am to be in the lobby by 5am to be picked up closer to 6am, followed by a 2hr Drive (half of which is extremey bumpy over potholes... but on the way you are distracted by scenery and happy you are in A/C), followed by a 35min boat ride to your first island. There is not much “guiding” or “touring” (which is fine, just a little different than advertised) but you are told when to be where (which is important)... otherwise you get to do what you want for the time on the island, or in the natural pool, or on another island. See, my fiancé and I aren’t big on spending too much time in the sun or on a beach, we burn easily and get bored... we love a good beach day, but more of the resort type with cocktails... if we had known to pack rum and coke, we would have (thank god I grabbed hotel towels on the way out!)... by the time we got to the 3rd island, get just more of the same and we were ready to head back, but in the mean time soaked up the relaxing, people-watching aspect of the day and feeling the beauty of the surroundings while there. The way home was just as long and exhausting... but I give props to the driver we had... handled the roads and the traffic like a champ and got us back at a decent hour. I recommend the excursion, but be ready for what it really means is all.

We basically had a private island to ourselves which was nice and relaxing. The water was beautiful. However there was trash on the island that should be cleaned up. It wouldnt take a lot to do so. The dinner could have been better. Im vegetarian and was provided a simple salad and fries. The staff was friendly and packed water and snacks for us. Overall it was a nice and relaxing day on a private island in beautiful Panama.

This tour is an adventure. We went Tues Jan 16, 2018 with Elvis who was very informative about "the people of the islands". The trip to the port was very bumpy with many potholes along the way. We swam with the starfish, snorkeled the pirate ship, and enjoyed paradise for the day. U'll want 2 stay.

This is everything people described. It is a guaranteed adventure. The driver drops you off and drives away quickly leaving you in an unknown place with dozens of people around and you have no idea what you are supposed to be doing. Eventually someone approached me and said he had been looking for me. I then went with there group on a rickety boat out to the islands, had a great time, and then was plastered with water the whole way back. On the return boat ride the wind had picked up, so the waves were constantly hitting us and the driver was bailing while steering. It was quite an adventure, bring Dramamine. Also, a cooler with drinks and snacks is not a bad idea.

San Blas as such is really great and worth a visit. It is worth 5-stars. The tour operator behind the tour did not organise as well. I sent several mails for pick-up but never got it confirmed. I got a pick-up somewhat late however the driver was only there to do the pick-up and did not know where in San Blas to drop us off it was at the third port we visited.... However forgetting about this, it was a great trip and visit. However the trip to San Blas is some 3-4 hours so it might be better spending a night instead of going during the day.

The San Blas Archipelago is amazingly beautiful and culturally very interesting. Our whole excursion went smoothly, although it was a total leap of faith. We were picked up at out hotel right on time, but our driver didn't speak any English and we didn't speak enough Spanish to fully understand what was happening. But we got in the car and off we went. After a short stop at a supermarket for breakfast, the driver took us to the beach where he handed us over to the boat drivers. They didn't speak English either, so it was another leap of faith to get in the boat. But they too did their part and took us to 3 spectacular islands, fed us lunch fried fish and coconut rice and brought us back. The car ride is long about 3 hours each way and the road to the beach is rough. The boat ride was rough too. So the trip is not for anyone who's unfit or timid. But for anyone who's up for a little adventure, I highly recommend it.

I would give this 3-4 stars.
the first island was beautiful like the picture. However, if it wasn't raining then people would have enjoyed it more. Lunch was good. Our hotel pickup was by Beto, who was a good driver.
Some things that were not great about the tour was the lack of communication, and people do not speak english so things can be quite confusing and frustrating when you don't know what is going.
      Overall, tour was OK.

The island was beautiful! Actually this is my second time to visit although it was another island. Last time was much near start the dock around 20 minutes. maybe not that worth of shipping that far away to visit the island. But The food was good, our driver was quite professional, he drove very steady and safely!
Maybe because of the weather, too windy, first we were kept waiting at the dock for the boat around more than 40 minutes, it seemed disordered. Second, i think it was because of the wind, the boat was terribly driven and many person feel fear. Third, because of the late of the start, we had little time on the second and third island, there was only around 15 minutes.
We understand maybe it was because of the weather. However, they need to better control.

Best day during our stay in Panama. Aside from the extremely long drive it was great. The water was very warm and crystal clear. The surprise stops are also very breathe taking. I must admit two downfalls and if they fix this it will make the trip splendid......1 the boat ride is rough and gets you completely soaked! Even on the ride back, its relentless and very uncomfortable. 2 Stop trying to monopolize on every little thing! Some things are understandable like paying for the trip, entrance fee, and for drinks. But pay to use the nasty stinky bathroom? Since when is using the bathroom a privilege? It wasn't even clean!!! That's why I give this 3 stars.

Albert, our driver, seemed to take a personal dislike of my partner and me we both speak Spanish and were no different than the other guests in the group guess he just doesn't like gay tourists. Too bad he was rude, since his behavior resulted in no tip at all from us. He really needs a reminder of customer services In addition, although the islands are very beautiful, there is a tendency towards petty dishonesty among the people living there, even when giving change for the charge to use the restroom. Furthermore, there are mounds of trash strewn next to the boat docks, leaching into the ocean, which is something apparently common throughout the country since we saw litter lining the roads everywhere, even in the forest. Although we think the trip is worth the effort, we were disappointed that such behavior was present and this left us with a bad impression.

The islands are beautiful and the tour guides are very nice. This is just not worth $150. Lunch was not the greatest and serves cold.

Also, if you have any kind of motion sickness this is not the tour for you. The car ride to the dock is two hours, halh of which are winding roads through the mountains.

All proceeds, however, do go to the indigenous community that organize this tour.

San Blas is a beautiful and interesting place, but I recommend using a different tour company. Our driver picked us up in Panama City and took us to San Blas. He did not speak English, and once there, he introduced us to our boat captain who also did not speak English and disappeared. We paid an additional 4 fee to the people there, but had no idea what it was for. We also had to pay for lunch, even though it said it was included. Luckily, another tour guide happened to be on our boat and he spoke English and helped us out. We stayed with his group the remainder of the day and that was the only thing that saved the trip for us.

This letter is in regard of the “San Blas Island-Hopping Day Trip from Panama City” took on Oct 19th, 2019 (Booking Reference: BR-745613046):
      1.        Coordination:
      a.        Pick up time: We were waiting around 40 min to departure because was a confusion with another couple’s pick-up place. Also, another couple were arguing because do not want to seat in the 3rd line of the SUV
      b.        Breakfast: it was a mess, we arrived at the store and the guide said “ok you just can take one sandwich and one coffee; but there were not enough sandwiches for all, for that reason a confusion was presented with the team; we had to wait for sandwiches to be done, them the line to pay, conclusion we lost 40 min more.
      c.        When we arrived at the port and we onboarded the litter boat, the tour guide said that one person must go out of the boat because of it was overload, no body one to go out and we were wasting time. Me and my husband decided to go out of the boat.
The tour Guide said that the waiting time will be just 10 min…. the time passed and 10 min was approx. 50 min; for the delay he said that will upgrade lunch and It was done.
      2.        The nightmare:
Around 3pm we departure to go back to Panama port, in the middle of the Ocean a heavy raining storm came, water coming in to de boat, we had not view and the worst thing the guys that were responsible of the trip did not have at least one Compass, it was really a nightmare!
We were approx. 30 min lost in un-know place.
I can provide you the videos;that can show how anxious and bad we felt but it can show the sad situation. People crying and praying ….. I thought we won’t make it!

We think that this is a negligence that your company offer a tour using an unsecure boat how you offered to us, putting on risk a group of tourists because you did not take the appropriate action for tour like this.

Really the worst tour I ever take! Seriously you shall take action to improve your tours and prevent a serious situation.

This trip does not worth what we paid for… not even a bathroom to change wet clothes at the port and I paid to go in some called “bathroom” and I could not go in because it was unsaid of dirty.

        Calificación General: 2/10
