This is a stress-free hub: la siesta (mid-day nap) is kind of a religious ritual for locals, which means that between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. shops are usually closed.

Day 2: Start your adventure towards Tolar Grande Stop At: Salta, Salta, Province of Salta, Northern Argentina
After breakfast, we will pick you up to start your adventure trip to Tolar Grande. This area has one of the most unusual landscapes in the region and you will have the chance to become part of them!

Stop At: Quebrada Del Toro (The Toro Gorge), from Campo Quijano to Puerta Tastil Argentina
In the first part of this trip, we will pass by the impressive Quebrada del Toro, the site of the famous Train to the Clouds. It is also a natural wonder; where human-sized cactus stand in a backdrop of eroded peaks which emerge from the golden sand.

We’ll keep on traveling, this time to San Antonio de Los Cobres, a typical Puna town and HQ of the Pachamama (Mother Earth) Celebration. Here, you will enjoy lunch (not included) and then continue through the Abra de Alto Chorrillos located at 4560 m.a.s.l.

From this moment on, we will begin the descent crossing the immensity of the Puna framed with salt flats to reach the most spectacular part of the first day: The colorful Devil's Desert, where the shapes of the mountains and the play of light and shadow projected by the sun will delight you. In the afternoon, we will finally arrive in the town of Tolar Grande. The village of Tolar Grande is located at 3520 m.a.s.l and has approximately 400 inhabitants. You will have time at leisure to wander around this mythical town to then have dinner in a local dining room.

Day 3: Visit to Arizaro Salt Flats, Cono de Arita & Ojos de MarStop At: Ojo de Mar, A 5 Km de Tolar Grande, Tolar Grande 4413 Argentina
Today you will have breakfast and then depart towards the incredible Ojos de Mar (Ocean Eyes). Let yourself be amazed by these three lagoons, an oasis of turquoise water in the middle of a white salt flat. The water in these eyes is four times saltier than ocean water! You will also visit El Arenal with its immense reddish sandbanks. From here you will be able to contemplate an incredible view of volcanoes and mountains. Enjoy hiking and photo opportunities at the viewpoints located in front of the 7 volcanoes of the Andes Mountains.

Stop At: Salar de Arizaro, Mina La Casualidad Argentina
We will return to the village for lunch before heading to the Arizaro Salt Flat, considered the largest in Argentina and the third in America. We will enjoy a 1-hour ride through the salt flat, with incredible photo stops before reaching Cono de Arita (subject to the state of the road), an interesting formation, volcano-looking, found in the middle of this immense salt flat. A perfect natural piramid and sacred place for the pre-Inca civilizations. At sunset, we will make the entrance again to Tolar Grande for dinner. We recommend looking at the sky! At night, Tolar Grande has an amazing sky to see the stars.

Day 4: Return to SaltaStop At: San Antonio de los Cobres, San Antonio de los Cobres, Province of Salta, Northern Argentina
After breakfast, we will drive towards San Antonio de los Cobres, with stops for photographs and stops in the towns of Pocitos and Olacapato. You will arrive at noon for lunch to San Antonio de los Cobres (lunch not included).

Day 5: Visit to Purmamarca and the Great Salt Flats (Salinas Grandes)Stop At: Purmamarca, Purmamarca, Province of Jujuy, Northern Argentina
Today, we will pick you up and head towards Purmamarca (take a light backpack), crossing the famous Camino de Cornisa, surrounded by the high altitude jungle. Further along the route, you will begin to see changes in the landscape: eroded rocks on the slopes and solitary cacti. You will finally arrive in the little town of Purmamarca, which is part of the Quebrada de Humahuaca (Humahuaca Gorge). Here, enjoy the views of the perfect and famous Cerro de los Siete Colores (Seven Colors Hill). Also, take your time to walk on its scenic streets and visit the handicraft market around the main square.

Stop At: Salinas Grandes, 4600 Argentina
Continue the tour ascending through an amazing mountain road, through the Lipan slope. We will reach the highest point of the route, and we will find the majestic Great Salt Flats. The natural light, the reflections and the artificial water pools provide perfect opportunities for endless photo fun.
At the end of your adventure in the Great Salt Flats, we’ll take you to your hotel in Purmamarca.

Day 6: Discover Humahuaca Gorge Stop At: Quebrada de Humahuaca, Rio Grande Purmamarca Village, Humahuaca Argentina
We’ll pick you up early in the morning and take you on an adventure to the Humahuaca Gorge, declared a UNESCO Heritage Site. Humahuaca Gorge is home to a bunch of natural and cultural attractions such as the Pucará de Tilcara, a ramshackled yet well restored native fortress (entrance fee not included) and Paleta del Pintor (Painter Palette), an impressive multi-colored mountain range. At Uquia, you will get to see the little Uquía Church, home of peculiar paintings of the colonial period (called Pinturas Cuzqueñas). Then, you will pass by the famous Tropic of Capricorn to finally reach the picturesque Humahuaca. Humahuaca is the main town of Humahuaca Gorge; you will have the chance to wander among its traditional houses and streets. Its main attractions are the Independence Monument, the Cathedral Church and the Municipal Building. At the end of the day, we’ll drive you back to your hotel in Salta.
