Lily was my guide and she was super nice and very knowledgeable. Well worth the day in Xian, only wish my schedule has been 2-3 days. A beautiful city and the Warrior exhibition was magnificent. Hope I will be around when they finally uncover the tomb when technology has caught up and they will be able to unearth more treasures. Even met and had the farmer who found the treasures sign a book for me, so I am distantly connected with history, he is still a farmer but sometimes visits the exhibition on the weekends. What a treat. Lily made sure I was at the airport on time for my ongoing trip and insisted on making sure I could check in without trouble etc. so kind of her. Anne

Great experience brought to life by Maggie. Would definitely recommend seeing this amazing attraction and having Maggie show you around. We messed up our booking time and date and they accommodated our needs and changes last minute. Maggie and our driver took care of everything so it was a worry free time. Showed us the best parts and gave us all the much needed info to have a full experience. Didn't have any tourist traps or anything. We ended the day with Maggie taking us to an amazing authentic Hot Pot restaurant after the tour was over then walking us to the railway. She went above and beyond to make the TCW tour and then going the extra mile to have a great meal all worthwhile then some.

My guide was Maggie again from a tour the previous day. It was raining and dull, but not deterred, we set off for the Terracotta Warrior site. Even though it was raining, there were many many people there to tour the site. Maggie was great and very knowledgeable of the history of the Chinese dynasty's and the site in general. We visited a gift shop where I met the farmer who had discovered the Warriors back in 1974. I had the obligatory picture and bought a book. Maggie took me to the three big Hangers which house the different pits and exhibits. It was sometimes difficult to take good pictures due to the number of people around, Maggie would provide history details when necessary and would advise me of the best places to take pictures. Afterwards, we walked to a local restaurant where I had a traditional tea preparation and some lunch, before the drive back to Xi'an. It was a wonderful day, event though it was wet and cold. Maggie was fantastic and I really enjoyed myself. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting Xi'an.

Maggie was phenomenal and super knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this trip. My boyfriend proposed to me outside on a path and Maggie was able to get pictures of the special moment! Absolutely a wonderful trip to see the Terracotta Warriors.

This is the perfect length of time to see the warriors, and I enjoyed having my own guide and driver. I could decide when I'd had enough. Note that at this time of year, it is just before the big Golden Week celebration, so there are already some local crowds. It's about an hour out of downtown Xi'an to get to the museum. First stop is the official store, so be prepared for that. You get to see the farmer who discovered the warriors he signs books. The warrior replicas are higher quality here than elsewhere, but you pay more for it. Most of the warriors are in the first pit you visit a few are in the second one the third is largely covered for conservation. There is a bronze chariot museum at the end. Don't be discouraged by crowds in the first pit they move through quickly. Be patient and jockey for space at the railing. On the way out, there is likely time to stop for a snack in the part of Xi'an where the museum is for the drive back I can't get enough of those little burgers. If you're leaving Xi'an that same day, consider asking to couple this with an airport transfer it's an additional charge, but it can work well for afternoon flights and save you a doubled up transportation logistic.

Wonderful half day tour with Maggie, my guide. She was prompt picking me up at the hotel, very knowledgeable of the area and 'The Warriors' and clearly loves what she does. The site of the warriors is amazing. Well worth the time and money.

I was glad that I booked this half day tour. There were full day tours on offer but a half day tour to the terracotta warriors was more than enough. Was a good private tour and our tour guide Thila hope I have this correct was excellent.
We were taken to the souvenir shop part of the sales side of the tour and were told so much about black jade. I bought a black jade bangle for my daughter and guess what, it fell 2 days later and broke instantly so this was not genuine at all. If you are looking for a terracotta warrior souvenir, it's bit expensive at the souvenir shop. We bought ours at the Muslim Street. Overall great tour.

We had a great visit of the Terracota Warriors with Maggie despite the crowd of the national holiday week! She then took us to a place where we tasted some very good local food and attend a tea ceremony. Just be careful to the price of the items they will try to sell you, it is very high!! So don't hesitate to negotiate ;)

My partner and I loved experiencing the Terracotta Warriors, but were a little frustrated by the tour experience. Bella was a great host in the end, but on the ride out both she and the driver mainly the driver spent the whole time in loud conversation with each other and on their phones. We felt that this was highly unprofessional. Also - after 1hr30 - arriving at the sight, to be asked so how long are you in Xian felt a little out of step. With a guide you hope to develop some sort of rapport and the insincerity of made for a sour start.

We had just a day in Xian and definitely didn't want to miss the jewel in the crown - the Terracotta Warriors. We would not have minded a small group tour, but the available ones were only scheduled for the whole day and we had a train to catch at 7:30 PM and didn't want to risk it. So we choose the Half day private tour to the terracotta warriors.
If this is your first or second day in China - this probably is still a sane choice. But if you have traveled a fair bit here, it just feels like you spent too much money on this.
      Here's why:
      1. The Terracotta Warriors museum is about 1 hr drive from the city. There are buses you can take or cabs that you can take to and fro which will cost you much lesser than the tour.
      2. Lunch is not included.
      3. It's just one location and the entrance to the Museum and tickets purchasing are fairly standard. The tickets were just 150 Yuan each But the entire trip for 2 of us cost 1500 yuan.
      4. You don't really need a guide for the Museum. You can read up about Pit 1, 2 and 3 online or take a print out of it as you go there.

The private tour does offer you the choice of ferrying you to other attractions close by like the Paleolithic museum, or the Geisha mountain. But if you are here in the summer months - that's a bad choice.

I wish Viator offered half day GROUP tours to the Terracotta Museum. That's all the time you need to see it anyway. So overall, I would say it was a convenient but overpriced option.

You're guide was great very informative, but we felt swindled after being pressured to buy at one of the shops she had chosen. I wanted to buy a knife from one of the vendors, she discouraged me saying there was a better stop, which turned out to be the same shop that swindled us the first time.
