Our guide, despite being from the USA, made this tour an exceptional tour. We enjoyed traditional Norwegian cuisine, some with a little fusion, and the food was amazing! The tour was also not all food as we were taken to various historical sites along the walk and given little history tidbits which made it interesting. A must do if it's with Cherrie (think that's her name...lol)

We decided to start our vacation with a food tour, and we're very glad we did. Our tour happened to be on Thanksgiving. The rest of the tour had 3 other Americans. Ivana, our guide wished us a happy Thanksgiving. I thought that was especially nice since Thanksgiving is not a Norwegian holiday. She was great with each stop, giving us a bit of history of what we were eating, and let us know how each dish is typically eaten. The walking part of the tour was interesting as well, and she gave us interesting info about buildings, and the neighborhoods we passed along the way. As stated in the information about the tour, there is some walking, and it isn't all flat walking, but we didn't find it to be at all strenuous. In fact, with all the food we ate, it was really nice to be able to do some walking between each tasting. Ivana was friendly, knowledgable and enjoyable to talk to. It really was a great way to start our week in Oslo. I highly recommend this tour.

Ivana was our charming and knowledgeable guide. We had one no-Show and Ivana tried several times to contact her showing that she was concerned for her group. Loved the traditional foods and was surprised that they were regular servings, not just a sample. Enjoyed seeing a non-tourist part of town, an historic cemetery, walk along Aker River termini gets at a local upscale food market. The brown cheese we tasted was the best we have ever had, so bought some for our trip.
This was/ is an excellent tour.

Amazing. Do NOT eat before this tour - even if you arrive on an empty stomach, you will be absolutely stuffed by the time you finish. The tour guide was very interesting and told us all kinds of interesting tidbits throughout the walk. The food and drinks were all amazing!

      What a fantastic afternoon!
Our guide, Eddie, met us right on time and led us on a spirited walk through the city.
We stopped for a fantastic lunch before heading to the hipster part of town to a local market that was unbelievable. There we sampled some magnificent local cheeses and some Reindeer sausage! After this we continued walking to a local pub where we sampled a number of local beers and an aquavit!
The tour was wonderful but completely enhanced by Eddie who shared the history of the city as we walked by. At the end of the tour, we said goodbye to a friend, not a tour guide, as this was such a fun afternoon!

The tour was carefully and well chosen tour the cost seems expensive when you book it compared to other European counties, but it is no more expensive than going out for dinner in Oslo so good value considering the lovely tour of Oslo you get, real Norwegian food and good beer and chixolate Loved it

My 5 star rating partially based upon the price paid:
      5 Exceeded expectations
      4 Met expectations
3 Did not meet expectations but still would have engaged with the vendor
2 Would not have engaged with the vendor but wouldnt dissuade others from doing so
1 Would not have engaged with the vendor and would not recommend others doing so either

Solomon provided a good sweet and savory experience - complete with a selection of Danish beers
Good walking through interesting neighborhoods in Oslo
Small group made it more interactive
Very conversational... felt like spending the afternoon with friends

An excellent, delicious, and filling food walking tour! Our guide explained to us in detail the culinary scene in Oslo, and the various types of dishes and cuisine popular in Oslo. Not only was our guide an encyclopedia of culinary knowledge, she was very friendly and engaging as well. I highly recommend this food walking tour of Oslo, by taking this walking tour you'll gain culinary insight on what's happening in Oslo. And with that, I feel this food walking tour is an excellent complement to any other guided tour, sightseeing excursion, and/or your own personal independent plans you may take while in Oslo.

Excellent in every way. Our guide can't remember her name but she is part Malaysian and part Polish gorgeous woman. She loves Oslo and her enthusiasm was wonderful. She took us to great spots and gave us lots of information about the food and the city. We have taken food tours in several cities and this was the best.

We went on the tour on Sunday the 11th of September. Eddie was our guide and took us as a group of 2 as the others had cancelled. So we basically had a private tour of Oslo with just the two of us and Eddie. The tour included a large meal at the first stop, which was an entree of smoked salmon, grilled makeral and shrimp. The mains were a choice with mine being the reindeer cakes. Other options were pork chops and salmon steaks. All the food at here is sourced from within Norway. We then went traveling via the underground and trams to our second stop that was waffles and coffee. our third stop was the Malhallen food hall where we got to try a sample of various local cheeses and spreads. We were lucky enough to get to try some smoked whale although i cant say i recommend it. Our last stop was a local pub where we got to try three different locally brewed beers as well as a glass of Aquavit. Overall the tour was great and Eddie ended up staying on and having a drink with us for another 3 hours with no obligation to do so.

I would highly recommend this tour however try and get a booking on your first day or two as we had already been in town for 3 days and had been to the food hall already.

If you are lucky enough to get Eddie as your guide you will have a great time with him. Thanks again!
