York Air Walk
Take to the skies on the York Air Walk, our aerial stroll through the city's ancient, natural and scientific history. Join our expert guides, Dr Simon Rogerson and Dr Liam Herringshaw, as they guide you around the city's mediaeval walls, taking in the sights and sounds (and smells!) that other walks miss. In Simon and Liam's company you'll meet a pioneering weather forecaster, a demon stargazer, and the local lad who gassed Queen Victoria. On the York Air Walk, the sky's the limit!

Stop At: York City Walls, York YO1 7HB England
On our York Air Walk, we climb up to the walls at Micklegate Bar, and follow them round to Lendal Bridge. Later on, we rejoin the city walls at Bootham Bar, walking round them to Monk Bar.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: All Saints Church, North St, York YO1 6JD England
We don't go into the church here, but in North Street Gardens we will tell the story of one of its most famous parishioners, a local lad who went on to gas Queen Victoria.

Stop At: Museum Gardens Museum Street, York YO1 7FR England
On our York Air Walk, we walk through York Museum Gardens, viewing the historic buildings in the gardens.

Pass By: Monk Bar, Off Lord Mayors Walk, York YO1 2LH England
Having walked the York City Walls from Bootham Bar, enjoying great views of York Minster, Dean's Park, and Gray's Court, we will descend back to street level at Monk Bar.
Stop At: Treasurer's House, Treasurers House Minster Yard, York YO1 7JL England
On Chapter House Street, in the shadow of York Minster, we will stop outside the Treasurer's House to tell the extraordinary and tragic tale of York's demon stargazer.

Stop At: York Minster, Minster Yard Deangate, York YO1 7HH England
In our York Air Walk, we view the Minster from the city walls as we walk from Bootham Bar to Monk Bar, before descending the walls to finish the walk beneath the extraordinary East Window of the Minster, on College Street.
