Stop At: Cuenca, Cuenca, Azuay Province

The guide will pick you up from your hotel or AirBnB, to travel to Sigsig with a short stop in San Bartolome to visit a Guitars workshop.

Stop At: Sigsig, Sigsig, Azuay Province

You wiil reach one of the oldest archaeological sites in Ecuador and South America, the black cave of Chobsi, which is located in the lower part of a mountain located in the Andean paramo. Then you will visit the fortress of Cacique Duma, leader of the Cañari culture who maintained a war with the Incas for more than 30 years. On this visit the guide will explain about the Cañari and Inca culture. After this visit for lovers of walks, the visit to the "Cañon del Pailon" is optional. This attraction is located about 25 minutes away from the road. you can enjoy the view of a small waterfall.

Stop At: Chordeleg, Chordeleg, Azuay Province

In Chordeleg, you will be able to visit several of the jewelers of the place, this place is very famous for the elaboration of jewels in addition to having a beautiful colonial-style architecture in its central square.

Stop At: Gualaceo, Gualaceo, Azuay Province

Gualaceo is the second most important canton of the province of Azuay after Cuenca, in this place you will visit the central market where depending on the day you can see people selling different products, among the most important the pork prepared in the oven, then You will walk through the central park of Gualaceo and in the final part you will visit the Makanas workshop of the Jimenez family who will offer us a demonstration of how they weave shawls with the ancestral technique of Ikat. Finally return to Cuenca.
