Small-Group Cave Exploration Experience in Tana che Urla

An experience that does not require specific skills that will allow us to visit as speleologists splendid rooms full of concretions dating back millions of years. Stalactites and stalagmites, sometimes joined in incredible columns of calcium carbonate, whose date of origin is difficult to imagine, will make the visit a unique experience. We will use the wetsuits to be able to easily pass under waterfalls and if we want we could immerse ourselves in a crystal clear underground lake. At the end of the excursion there will also be an opportunity to visit the characteristic village of Fornovolasco, nestled at the foot of the Apuan Alps.

Itinerary

First we will put on the necessary equipment, including socks and a 5mm neoprene wetsuit. As soon as we are ready we will follow an ancient path that heads towards the mountains and in about 15 minutes walk we will arrive in front of the entrance to the cave.
Here we will have a briefing on how to move inside the cave. At that point we will begin our excursion that will lead us to discover the wonders of underground nature following a small stream that has dug the cave over millions of years. We will be able to immerse ourselves in the waters of the underground lake and reach the Silence Room where we will experience absolute darkness.
