Day 1: Wellington – Lake Taupo – Rotorua

Stop At: Lake Taupo, Taupo Marina, Taupo New Zealand
Travelling by road from Wellington to Rotorua via the Kapiti Coast, Palmerston North, the central plateau (home to several active volcanoes), Lake Taupo arriving in Rotorua Late afternoon.

Day 2: Rotorua

Stop At: Te Puia, Hemo Road, Rotorua New Zealand
This morning you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Te Puia to experience Rotorua's famous Maori culture and geothermal activity with a tour of the Whakarewarewa Thermal Valley - a place where mud pools bubble and boil and geysers shoot steam high into the air.

Day 3: Day Three: Rotorua – Waitomo – Hobbiton - Auckland

Stop At: Waitomo Glowworm Caves, 39 Waitomo Village Road, Waitomo Caves 3943 New Zealand
Travel from Rotorua to Auckland via the Waitomo Glowworm caves with a guided tour of the caves including a boat through the glowworm grotto. Arrive in Auckland mid-afternoon where you will be transferred to your central city accommodation.

Stop At: Hobbiton Movie Set, 501 Buckland Road Matamata, Hinuera 3472 New Zealand
head to the world famous location of Hobbiton: a farm that has been transformed for The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movie set. See fairytale landscapes of the Shire as well as 44 hobbit holes, the Mill and double arch bridge, the party tree, and visit the Green Dragon Inn. Take a photo at the door of Bilbo’s house and learn about some interesting stories and trivia from enthusiastic guides.
