Small-Group Running and Dancing Tour in Ghent
Our rancing (running and dancing) tour in Ghent is unique because it is the only one of its kind that exists. It combines sightseeing with running/jogging and dancing. Our intention is to create a little private party, where you can enjoy being your craziest self. After all, we ask you to dress up for the occasion.
This is a tour that suits families, hen and birthday parties or just something completely different if you really wanna have some fun. Don't be afraid and embrace your beautiful self. Yes, you do get people asking what's happening, but in 99 % of the cases, you will put a smile on their face. So what's not to like huh? :)
Please note that it is important that you can run/ jog or walk 5 km. We do stop when you need a break, take a sip of water or want to take photos. Let's get this party started. Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this productPass By:
Ghent, Ghent, East Flanders Province
This tour combines sightseeing with running and dancing. You run or jog between places to cover more ground, and stop for a dance at landmarks or just randomly. The itinerary below shows some of the most popular landmarks, but we will vary the tour. Pass By:
Vrijdagmarkt, Ghent 9000 Belgium
We start this rancing (running and dancing) tour in Ghent at the Artevelde statue at Friday Market. This is a historical square with interesting houses and some cool facts. After a brief introduction and information about what to expect, we explore the square and the surrounding streets.
Please note that this itinerary is an example only. If people have a good fitness level (not mandatory though!!) we can cover more ground and therefore also different areas. Also, although it says that we do not make any stops, we do make stops at all landmarks so you can hear the stories told by your guide and take pictures. We just cannot say how long we will be staying somewhere as that depends on the group. Just so you know :)
When you book, please let us know your fitness level. Pass By:
Gravensteen, Sint-Veerleplein 11, Ghent 9000 Belgium
Following the discovery of Friday Market and surroundings, your guide will take you to another highlight of our city - the Castle of the Counts (Gravensteen). This is a medieval castle with a lot of stories to tell. Your guide will take you to the surrounding areas as well. For instance, Saint Veerle Square, Patershol, Prinsenhof and so on.Pass By:
Graslei and Korenlei, Graslei en Korenleih, Ghent Belgium
From the Castle of the Counts, get yourself to the very heart of Ghent's old town with your guide. Graslei and Korenlei are not to be missed areas. This was the place to be in the Middle Ages, but it is still the most popular area to hang out. Your guide will explain to you its importance and tell you some hidden secrets. Pass By:
Belfry and Cloth Hall (Belfort en Lakenhalle), Emile Braunplein, Ghent 9000 Belgium
The Ghent Belfry is one of the oldest in Belgium and next on your itinerary. As a matter of fact, you will get to see the Saint Nicolas Church, the Belfry and the Saint Bavo Cathedral all at once. These are the 3 Medieval towers of Ghent.
