It is a Gothic Cathedral of Romanesque origin built at the end of the 11th century and consecrated in 1096 by Pope Urban II. The Cailhau Gate was built in the 16th century to celebrate the victory of Charles VIII, in Fornoue (Italy) in 1495.
This monument combines defensive elements (location of the portcullis and dead center on the 1st floor, crowning with machicolations, crenelated gallery, wooden shutters on the second floor) and decorative elements (windows and skylights, bell tower, and conical roofs covered with slate).

This theater was inaugurated in 1780 with the play Athalía, by Jean Racine. It was designed by the architect Victor Louis, it is neoclassical in style and was conceived as a temple of the arts. It has a portico with 12 Corinthian columns with 12 statues: the nine muses and the Goddesses Juno, Venus, and Minerva.
