Our tour guide was great, helpful and went out of his way to answer questions. Very much enjoyed the camel ride and going through the open market

Our trip to Tangier, Morocco was rescheduled due to a religious ceremony conflict. However, the trip was well worth taking. We enjoyed the bus ride around the area explaining the many sites and making stops at various points along the way (the caves of Hercules was my personal favorite). The guides were knowledgeable and fluent in many languages. My most memorable experience was riding a camel on the African continent. It is a long day and customs takes a long time, but again, well worth the effort. Thank you Julia tours for your part in making memories that will last a lifetime. Lori

A worthwhile experience. Ride the ferry to Africa. Experience a tase of Berber and Moorish culture, ride a camel and shop for a rug or other souvenirs. Trip was fun and the food with cultural experience were good. However we were totally profiled and my wife left with a "Moroccan, " of questionable petagree (possibly made in China) rug. Yes, some of the vendors are "agressive" ( I had one following me onto the bus. Thats part of the "excitement." Still a fun experience and at least we have some interesting stories to tell.

We loved our day in Morocco!! Paco, our guide explained how to bargain with the sellers, which was very helpful, and taught us how to have a lot of fun with the process. The buses were new and comfortable, the ferry ride was enjoyable, the bus in Morocco showed the beautiful coastline area. The meal was great and included music with smiling entertaining musicians. We were taken to an artisan coop where they had many quality items, including carpets. We then went to a medicinal herbalist who explained about herb remedies which was interesting but also, entertaining. A really packed day, would have liked maybe an hour more in the bazaar area but all in all a truely fun day! Don't miss it.

This is an excellent day trip to the former 'International' City of Tangier across the Straits of Gibraltar in Morocco full of surprise and interest.
Border formalities must be observed so you must be prepared to follow instructions, be patient and above all remember to bring your passport.
The guides are excellent and lunch is a rare treat in a fabulous Moroccan restaurant.
The local street sellers are persistent but never threatening, a polite 'no thank you' does the trick.
It's a long day, 11 hours but well worth it

Our day trip was well worth the money. The coach was comfortable and our guides were very knowledgeable. We saw so many interesting sights and a fascinating culture. The ferry ride was fast and you always felt well looked after. We had a bus tour of Tangiers then had a delicious lunch at a Moroccan restaurant with musical entertainment. There were also opportunities to see a snake charmer and take a camel ride. Our time in the market was interesting in a rug shop but no pressure. The vendors outside were a little annoying but that is how they make their living. The day is long if you start in Malaga. We were fortunate to be picked up in Marbella. This was an excellent way to see Tangiers.

This was a great trip with lots of interesting sights, sounds and smells. The bus was clean, the guide was helpful, the ferry was fast and comfortable and the lunch was OK. Julia Travel were well organised and efficient.
We did so many things in a day it was a bit of a whirlwind, but nevertheless enjoyable and good value for money.
Although we were pestered by street sellers, this was unavoidable in the circumstances, but it was a bit annoying after a while.
The shop we visited selling pottery, leather goods, carpets and other local items was fantastic, and we weren't pressured at all into buying.
Just be aware that it's a very long day, especially if you are further east on the coast than we were in Estepona, as the extra distance means getting up really early and arriving back at your hotel very late.

This is absolutely the best way to go to Tangier the first time. The tour is a bit of walking, which I liked and an overview of cultural, historic, natural sights plus some limited shopping. The shopping was pre-planned and included some things such as carpets that a day tourist might not have in mind. Still, it was a good balance between many different activities and the lunch with live traditional music was very good. The Guides were helpful and well-informed, all the transport was comfortable and on time and I felt very safe and well looked after the entire time. There was an extra guide through the narrow and lively streets of the old city in Tangier and he kept his eye on all 18 of us, when I lost my daughter in a shopping area, he knew exactly where she was. THANK YOU Said 1, Said 2 and Pepe!

My wife and I took this trip with our two teenage daughters and we all had a thoroughly enjoyable day courtesy of Julia Travel. It was perfect for our requirements and great value. Our guides, Jeanette and Hassan were very good, providing an informative and stress free experience for all. Staying near Estepona, we had considered driving to Tariffa ourselves and taking the ferry, but I know we would not have taken in anywhere near as much of Tangier in the limited time and it would have probably cost us more. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a flavour of Morocco in one day!

What a great day! Olga was wonderful. We were picked up at our resort and whisked away to another world. Olga made sure our passports and paperwork were in order and that we didn't have to worry about anything. The ferry ride was fun and then Hassan took us by bus to the new sections of Tangier and to ride a camel. We left the bus and entered the casbah. We wound our way through narrow streets and archways, passing vendors of produce, meats, spices, leatherworks gold and silver. Hassan showed us a window into his world. We were taken to a delicious lunch, a rug merchant and herbalist and then wandered back to the bus, crossed the Straits of Gibraltar and returned to the world we know. Highly recommend this tour.

An excellent tour. We all enjoyed our day in Tangier. Everything ran very smoothly, lunch was great and the guide, Hassan was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We usually do our day trips independently, but this is one where it is very worthwhile going on an orgsnised tour.....we managed to fit a lot in, in one day and got a real feel for the place, whilst feeling very safe and in good hands, particularly important to usas we had children with us. Thank you.

All in all, we had a great day in Morocco, traveling from Marbella, Spain to the city of Tanjiers by bus and a large, two story, fully-enclosed speed boat. The trip included a very interesting guided bus tour of the new section of the city, including beautiful wide avenues and lovely buildings with great views of the Atlantic and Mediterranean, beautiful gardens and fountains and a quick but inexpensive 1 Euro camel ride. The guide showed us all the different international sections--British, French, Spanish, American, Italian, etc. Each has its own schools and library, as well as a distinct character. Then we had a guided tour of the old city or Casbah, built in the 14th century. Crowded and narrow streets with bustling food markets, along with jewelry, leather, fabric and other local goods. We stopped along the way at a fine Moroccan restaurant with traditional music and food, which was included in the tour. We also had stops at a Moroccan/Berber rug store and an herbal/homeopathic store with presentations at each. Overall, the trip was well worth it, and we had a very pleasant day meeting fellow passengers and getting to know more about this cosmopolitan city and its long history. I would recommend the tour to others with these caveats: 1 the bus makes dozens of stops at hotels picking and dropping off people all along the way, 2 the rug store presentation was not very exciting and we would have preferred more time shopping on our own, and 3 be prepared to be attacked by local vendors all trying to sell the same goods--bracelets, camels, scarves, Moroccan leather purses, etc. Although many travelers skipped the herbal presentation, we actually enjoyed it. The presenter was informative and funny, prices were affordable and we were able to purchase Moroccan oil and other desired products with little or no hard selling. It was also air conditioned, and the Casbah was very hot that day.

Very good trip to Morocco! The guides were very professional. We were in good hands. If you have an extra day at Costa del Sol, i can recommend this. Only thing that could be a little different is maybe a little more time on my own to shop. We were a family of 5 persons.
