Like the early explorer, paddle along the shores of Yellowknife, enjoying scenic views of the historic old town and Latham Island. Learn about the local history of the area, and have a chance pick up a couple paddling tips from your friendly guide. Your canoe or kayak glides through the water and you notice colourful houseboats along our route. It’s an easy-going paddle along protected waters, stopping to absorb the quiet wilderness of the North. After a chance to spot birds, we paddle our way back to our starting point, soaking up the last of the peaceful Yellowknife Bay. Enjoy a meal of fresh fish from Great Slave Lake in a beautiful log cabin.
