We booked this (with ParisVision as it happens) as we wanted a no fuss, easily accessible return trip from Paris to Monet’s Gardens. This was exactly what was delivered. We opted for the “no audio commentary/ garden only” choice and the 2 hours at Giverny was well spent in the beautiful garden. We caught the Metro to and from ParisVision - the pick up point in Paris and it was very convenient. ( Hint look for Starbucks or similar in Paris near pick up point for low cost options for coffee/ snacks beforehand)

I've always wanted to visit Monet's home in Giverney and I finally was able to do so in September.

The gardens were still in bloom - beautiful flowers in a beautiful setting. I am in a Rose Club back home and it was special to see so many roses in the garden. I wish I was able to identify the rose names but "fragrant", and "beautiful" were good enough for me on my visit. Loved that abundance of perennials placed together -- I took a lot of pictures for my gardening reference. I can only imagine how colorful and magical it must be in peak season!

The Water Garden blew me away - even though not many plants were in bloom. It was still lush and serene. It was so amazing to walk through and see how this magical place inspired Monet. Definitely saw the garden through his eyes in all his paintings. I saw how the scenery changes at different hours and how the weather changes the colors for you. Beginning to understand how painters are so adept at pulling you into their world and letting you see what they are seeing.

The house was very quaint and it was delightful to see so many of Monet's non-famous paintings throughout the house. I was surprised by the amount of Japanese art that he collected but it was interesting to know this other side of him.

Originally planned to take the train to Giverney on our own but opted to go for the bus trip with entrance ticket/ 2 hour duration. It was worth it - bus ride was pleasant and the guide led you to the House and gave you instructions on when to go back to the bus. They really are punctual.

It was still busy when we were there but when will it not be busy. There must have been about a dozen tour buses while we were there. Be patient and mindful with all the other travelers - they are all there for the same reason you are.

The only regret was not taking the longer 5 hour tour -- we had 2 hours to go through the house and gardens and be back to the bus. I will be booking the longer trip next time -- it includes lunch in the village and a snack. I would have loved to have wandered around the village.

Comfortable coach bus, and of course Monet's Garden was breathtaking. It was the last day of the Tour de France, and the bus was unable to return to our origin, but the staff on the bus did the best they could to get us to our next activity.

Comfy bus ride in and out. Professionally maintained gardens and home museum. However...if you've ever seen a lily pond, weeping willow or old colonial before...well, then you've seen this before too.

This tour was excellent.. The Overview of the details of what we would see was given prior to arriving. It allowed us to focus on seeing the gardens, take pictures and have a better idea of what we were seeing. This trip allowed independent viewing once we arrived which was perfect. One could linger were we liked or move at our own pace. We were not constrained by the wishes of a small group or flying passed areas we wished more time. During the half day tour there is only time to see the house and gardens. If one wants to explore the village also, you would need the whole day tour. We chose the half day tour because of time restraints in our schedule. Would definitely do thia again.

Monet’s gardens was very good. It was an 1 1/2 bus ride to and from.
That is what you are paying for. The pickup location is across the street from The Louvre and easy to access from the Metro.

No visit to view Monet's art should be complete without a visit to Giverny. Our trip was well organized with sufficient amount of time to view the house, gardens and of course the lily pond. I would highly recommend the Viator sponsored trip.

Viator had a group of tour guides who were very helpful in preparing us and getting us to and from Giverny on a timely basis. They had audio recordings to allow us to prepare and understand the history of Monet and the surrounding area. The grounds of the home and house tour were splendid. This is a tour you should take if you love flowers and history

Great day trip out of Paris and a must do. Even though it was the hottest day in Paris for a long time the smell of the jasmine in the garden was amazing!

What a highlight for a short trip to Monet’s garden at Giverny.
The commentary along the way was informative and the bus driver was terrific.
The garden was magical (even with the crowds)

This trip may take your away from Paris for a few hours but it is well worth it. If you know Monet's work, seeing his surroundings will give you a deeper understanding of what inspired many of his paintings. Monet's gardens and his house are where you want to focus if you are pressed for time.
This can be a D.I.Y tour. No need for a guide.

We were lucky to have sunny and 60 degree temps. The garden flowers were still lovely in mid October. Taking a bus tour was an easy non stressful way to travel to Giverny. The 5 hour tour was just enough time to walk the gardens, see the house, and visit the gift shop before walking back to the bus. There was no traffic problems on this Sunday. A weekday or holiday could be rushed if the hit traffic.

This was a wonderful trip out to Giverny to see Monet’s house. We chose the audio guide rather than the guided tour, but it was still a great experience. I believe we had 2 hours to explore the gardens and house. We probably could have used another half hour to really soak it all in, but we enjoyed it all. The house inside was as uniquely decorated as was its owner. The gardens were spectacular! I could spend all day in them. Our travel to and from Giverny by bus was pleasant, and our guide was helpful. I highly recommend this tour.

It was a nice trip to the gardens. It was a beautiful afternoon which meant there were many people visiting. We could have used a little bit more time there. The bus was very nice. The guide gave useful information and was very clear about meeting times and locations.

Giverny is gorgeous and well worth the trip, but the half day option feels very rushed. We did the audio-guided tour, which was fine. Our bus guides were a bit brusque. The site is spectacular; this particular tour was just average.

The gardens were spectacular, and the bus ride was easy and short. Getting onto the bus was also easy. My audio tour didn't work, I suppose that is the only complaint. Had a nice lunch at a place right outside the garden. Perfect day in Giverny.

This was stunning, we were one of the first tours this year so although there wasn't alot of blooms out, we did feel we had all the luck as there were very few people which made for incredible photos 'without' people in them!
We did the self-guided tour and up until now we had not come across anyone that did the 'pen' guide. We absolutely loved this, what a great idea!
The gardens were immaculate and Monet's house is superb. So much life and colour. I imagine in summer with different flowers blooming that the gardens take on a whole other look, something we look forward to doing in the future.
The history of Monet and his life is well covered in the self-guide tour, we didn't feel as though we had missed much. We took wonderful photos.
Keen gardeners would adore this tour and Monet admirers will too.
