Stop At: Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, 178 Sakuramachi, Takayama 506-0858 Gifu Prefecture

You will learn about the role of this Shinto shrine in the founding of Takayama

Duration: 5 minutes

Stop At: Shiroyama Park, 1-1 Shiroyama, Takayama 506-0822 Gifu Prefecture

You will enjoy a walk in the woods, and observe the layout of the town from the vantage point of the castle mount.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Higashiyama Walking Course, Atagomachi, Takayama Gifu Prefecture

You will see temples, shrines, and residential neighborhoods, and learn about the history and architecture of Takayama. We can cover as much or as little of the walking course as you like.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Funasaka Shuzo Brewery, 105 Kamisannomachi, Takayama 506-0846 Gifu Prefecture

You may rest in the lovely courtyard and enjoy a cup of sake that was made right there.

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Harada Sake Brewery, 10 Kamisannomachi, Takayama 506-0846 Gifu Prefecture

You may taste the local sake at this historic brewery, and the several others located in old town Takayama.
