Stop At: Blue Grouse Estate Winery and Vineyard, 2182 Lakeside Rd, Duncan, British Columbia V9L 6M3 Canada

Family-owned, sustainably-farmed and award-winning, Blue Grouse Estate Winery welcomes you.

Our architect found inspiration for the design of our Tasting Room from the shape of our namesake, the Blue Grouse. The lovely curve of the grouse’s head and neck inspired the roofline and inside a curved ceiling reminds visitors of a grouse’s belly. The entrance highlights a beautiful shade of blue from the grouse’s tail feathers. In addition, the use of British Columbia and Vancouver Island products, including the beams and locally quarried stone, a closed loop water system and geothermal energy ensured we were accountable to Mother Nature.

Stop At: Unsworth Vineyards Tasting Room, 1-2915 Cameron Taggart Rd, Mill Bay, British Columbia V0R 2P2 Canada

Having grown up watching Cowichan Valley’s homespun wine and food culture evolve, Tim’s ears perked up when he heard about a small vineyard and winery that was for sale in the fall of 2009. After 40+ years working in BC’s fishing industry, he was looking for a new challenge.

One look at the spectacular property and early 1900s farmhouse, and Tim knew he’d found something special. Colleen saw the vision too and they bought the farm, so to speak.

It was the heritage around Marjorie that inspired the name – Unsworth was her maiden name.

From expanding the operation and restoring the farmhouse, to building a brand around sustainably managed vineyard practices, the Turyk's and their team have built Unsworth one vine, one bottle, one blend at a time.

Stop At: Rocky Creek Winery, 1854 Myhrest Rd, Cowichan Bay, British Columbia V0R 1N1 Canada

We have a true passion for making this a heritage winery and hopefully passing this on for generations. We went from "corporate suits" to "gumboots". Our vision is more in the lines of having our French Chateau or our Tuscan Villa here. Watch us on the journey. See below as we are looking for one more person to join our team.

Stop At: Averill Creek Vineyard, 6552 North Rd, Duncan, British Columbia V9L 6K9 Canada

Averill Creek's 150-ton capacity winery is built into the side of Mt. Prevost. With the help of designer Vasco Pavlov, we embraced the opportunity to create a new kind of winery. Guided by ingenuity and gravity, our state-of-the-art facility incorporates three buildings structured together, allowing wine to flow down from one stage to the next without the need for pumps. This gravity flow method allows for gentle handling of delicate varietals - helping to retain their subtle characteristics.

Our collection of hand-crafted fine wines, including perennial sell-out Pinot Grigio, Prosecco style wine Charme De L'ile, and limited edition reserve wines, have helped raise the profile of Vancouver Island terroir and winemaking in Canada and internationally.
