The purpose of Phra Maha Dhatu Nabha Metaneedol was to build in the honor of King Bhumibol Adulyadej's 50th birthday in 1987 and Phra Maha Dhatu Nabhapol Bhumisiri builds in the honor of Queen Sirikit 50th birthday in 1995. Both places can see the unobstructed beautiful views of Doi Inthanon
