Explore, Wine & Dine in McLaren Vale

Throughout a guided tour we showcase to guests the behind-the-scenes intricacies of how a wine is crafted by the winemaker - our guests get to go where most wineries do not allow. At Shottesbrooke, guests can expect hands-on sensory experiences, barrel and finished wine tastings, and amazing opportunities to view our working winery operations up close.

Our tour is followed by sparkling on arrival and an incredible three-course dining experience at The Currant Shed. The Currant Shed's culinary team brings many years of experience to their kitchen. With varied experience across many regions around the world, they have the remarkable ability to translate the flavours of the land directly onto the plate using some of the Fleurieu, and South Australia's best produce, sourced from a raft of local suppliers. Each dish is handcrafted and has its own individual story.


Itinerary

Our unique ‘Explore, Wine & Dine’ experience is like no other. Be taken on a guided tour of discovery where you will learn about our winery’s rich history and how our sustainable winemaking practices are taking us from today into tomorrow.

This exciting tour takes you behind-the-scenes of our Estate property in McLaren Flat, where you'll be shown our 30+ year old vineyards, our purposeful and lively wood lots, the winery and all it's intricacies, as well as journeying through our beautiful barrel shed.

After exploring our vineyards and winery, you will be hosted to a private, personalised tasting, featuring many of the wines that were discussed throughout the tour. The tasting is comprised of white wines, rose and red wines - as well as a fortified for good measure. Throughout this tasting you'll have the opportunity to find out the more intricate details about our winemaking process and philosophy.

Once complete, you will take a short, guided walk through our native woodlot to our award-winning restaurant The Currant Shed. Here, you will indulge in a regionally inspired 3-course lunch, complete with Shottesbrooke wines and an incredible view of our vineyards.
